ACCREDITATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Each person has access to evaluation and treatment at any time; such treatment, including emergency care will be made available on a 7-day-per-week, 24-hour-per-day basis.  This treatment will be conducted in such a manner as to preserve the individual's dignity, as well as protect his or her human/legal rights.  

Persons may be served by the Agency through referral by a physician, family member, friend, another service agency or by self-referral.  All contacts with the Agency are confidential and information is released only when the consumer's written permission is obtained.

Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare System agrees to admit consumers to service programs without regard to race, color, sex, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or veteran status.

The Agency is a private, not-for-profit corporation operated by a Board of Directors composed of volunteers representing the citizens of the service area.

SABHS believes that each person suffering from an emotional problem,

substance abuse or mental illness has individual worth.

SABHS is accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. The Agency is also certified as a Community Mental Health Center, as a Medicaid Provider for behavioral health services, and is a licensed Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program by the State of Arkansas.

As an NHSC-approved site, the Agency does not discriminate in the provision of services to an individual because the individual is unable to pay, or because payment for those services would be made under Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP.
